Here’s an example of how we can use the team habit builder around the topic of shared workspace. Many teams will have a shared workspace. It might be the copy room or the kitchen at work. It might be a shared desk or room. And it can be a source of conflict.

Keep in mind you should redo these activities periodically because toward and away moves might change and because you might have new team members who didn’t learn about the shared toward and away moves.

Step 1: let’s start with the shared purpose. Do we have a shared purpose of a clean workspace? Most team members will say yes to this. The problem usually lies in the fact that team members can have radically different definitions of "clean" and team members will differ in the extent to which a clean workspace is a priority for their limited battery.
